BABONE FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. What is the difference between Remy hair and Virgin hair?
Both types are cut in the same direction from the donor’s head. However, Remy hair is processed meaning that the hair cuticles are removed which overtime increases shedding and tangling.
Virgin hair is unprocessed as it has not been chemically treated or manipulated, leaving the hair cuticles damage free and intact. Virgin hair meets other rigorous standards including; no perming, no colouring, no bleaching and should come from a single donor (to ensure that the hair falls in the same direction).
2. What is the difference between HD Lace & Swiss Lace?
HD Lace is a very fine delicate lace material that creates a seamless hairline and melts more effortlessly than Swiss Lace.
Swiss Lace is also made from a fine material however this does not compare to the HD Lace.
3. What are the pros and cons of HD Lace versus Swiss Lace?
HD Lace, due to its delicate material, is not as durable as Swiss Lace. The life span of HD Lace decreases the more the wig is worn.
However due to the material used for our Swiss Lace, once installed with or without glue, creates a flawless, undetectable finish.
Swiss Lace is thicker than HD Lace meaning it does not melt as flawlessly as HD Lace.
4. Can the hair be coloured?
Yes, our Virgin hair extensions can be coloured to your preference. However, please take note that when Virgin hair is bleached, the hair is stripped of its natural moisture. Regular deep conditioning is recommended until the hair is restored back to its balanced state of moisture. Excessive bleaching can damage Virgin hair.
5. How long does the hair last for?
Like your natural hair, with good care and maintenance there is no reason why your hair shouldn’t last you for years.
6. How long will it take to receive my order?
All orders take up to 15 days from order to delivery unless the order falls into a Pre Order item in which you will receive an email stating when delivery can be expected.
